“Sicilia Sanità”, dardi e saette

Il presidente della Regione, Renato Schifani, ha incontrato il manager dell’azienda ospedaliera “Villa Sofia – Cervello”, Roberto Colletti. Il confronto è ruotato intorno al recente caso “Ortopedia”, la morte di Giuseppe Barbaro, in attesa di un intervento da 17 giorni, e gli esiti negativi di un sopralluogo in reparto dello stesso Schifani il giorno di Capodanno. A fronte di ciò si è già dimesso il direttore sanitario, Aroldo Gabriele Rizzo. Dall’incontro con Colletti, che come riferiscono addetti ai lavori alla stampa è stato “sereno e franco”, non sono emersi scossoni di rilievo, tanto basta per infiammare le opposizioni che invocano provvedimenti radicali, come l’ex Iena e deputato regionale Ismaele La Vardera, che invoca la rimozione dell’assessore regionale alla Sanità, Giovanna Volo. E la vice capogruppo del Movimento 5 Stelle, Roberta Schillaci, denuncia che la sanità, soprattutto palermitana, è al collasso, che i casi di mala-sanità ricorrenti non sono risolvibili solo con le diffide da Schifani ai vertici aziendali ospedalieri, e che la lottizzazione e la voracità dei partiti sulla sanità pubblica sono state e sono il colpo di grazia su un sistema che invece dovrebbe rigenerarsi attraverso il merito, la competenza e la dotazione organica adeguata. Altrettanto sulle barricate è Davide Faraone, capogruppo di Italia Viva alla Camera, che affonda così: “In Sicilia non serve un ‘cartonato’ come Giovanna Volo, ma un vero assessore alla Sanità, stile Guido Bertolaso in Lombardia. Siamo in emergenza, la sanità è al collasso, bisogna evitare i pannicelli caldi. Credo anche debbano andare a casa l’assessore-ombra, Salvatore Iacolino e il manager di Villa Sofia, Roberto Colletti. Spero che il Presidente della Regione abbia la forza per cambiare tutto. Mi aspetto che si smetta di galleggiare. Altrimenti, vorrebbe dire voler male agli operatori sanitari e ai cittadini”.
