ASSOTURISMO E FEDERALBERGHI PREOCCUPATI PER AGRIGENTO

Assoturismo e Federalberghi hanno deciso di intervenire con fermezza per difendere l’immagine delle strutture ricettive del territorio di Agrigento, in seguito ad alcuni servizi giornalistici che, in occasione dell’avvio di Agrigento come Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2025, hanno presentato una narrazione distorta della situazione alberghiera locale.

I servizi in questione, infatti, hanno enfatizzato la presenza di alcuni alberghi chiusi o abbandonati, trascurando di rappresentare adeguatamente il quadro generale, che comprende numerose strutture operative e di alta qualità. Le due associazioni sottolineano come molte di queste strutture siano gestite con grande sacrificio e dedizione, riscuotendo apprezzamenti sia dalla clientela che dalle principali piattaforme di prenotazione online. Tra queste, si annoverano anche eccellenze che hanno ottenuto riconoscimenti prestigiosi, come le cinque stelle, a testimonianza del livello di professionalità raggiunto.

Assoturismo e Federalberghi ritengono che una descrizione parziale e negativa come quella diffusa crei un danno d’immagine significativo, specialmente in un anno così cruciale per il territorio, in cui le aspettative di visitatori sono elevate e gli operatori turistici hanno lavorato intensamente per offrire un’accoglienza all’altezza delle aspettative.

Con un tono pacato ma deciso, le associazioni hanno scelto di rispondere “a freddo”, evitando polemiche sterili, ma esprimendo la loro delusione per il danno arrecato a chi quotidianamente affronta con coraggio le sfide di operare in un contesto complesso come quello siciliano. Il loro messaggio è chiaro: valorizzare e raccontare il lavoro e l’impegno di chi contribuisce a rendere Agrigento una destinazione turistica di alto livello è fondamentale, soprattutto in un anno così significativo per la città.
