Al Comune di Agrigento oltre 130.000 euro per l’acquisto di un’autobotte L’intervento del sindaco Miccichè

Il Dipartimento Regionale della Protezione Civile, a firma del dirigente generale, Salvo Cocina, ha concesso un contributo di 132.980 euro al Comune di Agrigento per l’acquisto di un’autobotte da immatricolare entro il mese in corso, da 8000 litri, per uso potabile, in pronta consegna e da intestare allo stesso Comune. La copertura finanziaria è tratta da risorse nazionali e regionali. Il Comune dovrà stipulare con il Dipartimento un’apposita convenzione con cui si impegna, fra l’altro, a garantire l’operatività del mezzo, e renderlo disponibile, su richiesta del Dipartimento, eventualmente anche fuori dal proprio territorio di competenza. Il Comune di Agrigento dovrà inoltre aggiornare il Piano comunale di Protezione civile.

Il sindaco di Agrigento, Francesco Miccichè, ringrazia il dirigente generale Cocina, tutta la Cabina regionale per l’emergenza idrica e il presidente della Regione, Renato Schifani, per la costante attenzione riservata alla città di Agrigento a fronte della crisi idrica. E aggiunge: “La dotazione infrastrutturale e logistica rappresenta la migliore arma per fronteggiare e risolvere il grave problema dell’approvvigionamento idrico. L’acquisto di una capiente autobotte, grazie al contributo concessoci dalla Regione, si inserisce in tale percorso di potenziamento dei mezzi e delle opere a contrasto dell’emergenza. Il veicolo, a disposizione del Centro Operativo Comunale, incrementerà il servizio di assistenza ai cittadini. Proseguiamo con impegno, insieme alla Regione, il nostro lavoro a fianco della comunità agrigentina e delle sue istanze.”
