Suicidio Alberto Re, i familiari si dissociano dal Festival Paladino d’Oro

Natalia Re, la figlia, e la famiglia di Alberto Re, si dissociano dalla nuova edizione del Festival Paladino d’Oro. E in una lettera diffusa alla stampa spiegano perché e scrivono:

“È dato sapere, grazie alle recenti cronache giornalistiche, che a breve verrà avviata la nuova edizione del “Festival Paladino d’Oro”.

L’edizione di quest’anno fa seguito a quella dell’anno scorso ad Agrigento, tutti ricorderanno la tragedia consumata: il mio amato papà, Alberto Re, perse la vita, suicidandosi per colpa di uno sciacallaggio mediatico e social che lo ha investito.

Purtroppo una non efficace comunicazione, leggera e dai contenuti pericolosi, per questo impattante a livello emotivo e della dignità umana, ha reso bersaglio facile la figura maggiormente vulnerabile.

Ricordo ancora che in quella occasione non vi è stata alcuna autentica vicinanza o solidarietà da parte del Direttore Artistico, Roberto Marco Oddo, Presidente dell’Associazione Toros, detentrice del marchio “Paladino d’Oro”.

Quelle giornate per noi familiari furono devastanti, solo tra di noi ci siamo presi per mano.

Soltanto il Prefetto di Agrigento, Filippo Romano, ci dimostrò vicinanza e comprensione, insieme agli agenti della Questura di Agrigento e alla Procura della Repubblica di Agrigento che aprì immediatamente un fascicolo di inchiesta per istigazione al suicidio.

La notizia del suicidio mi venne comunicata da Oddo con un freddo e inopportuno messaggio WhatsApp, la mattina del 22 novembre 2023.

Non solo, il Festival si svolse ugualmente e, al termine dei lavori, è stato pure definito “kermesse di grande successo”. Ossimoro potentissimo, di facile comprensione per chiunque…

Probabilmente, chi utilizza le parole per professione, dovrebbe farlo con maggiore senso di responsabilità e sensibilità.

Oggi, con ancora aperto un fascicolo per istigazione al suicidio contro ignoti, mi sento in dovere di diffidare il Direttore Artistico dal citare il nome del mio compianto padre Alberto Re.

La mia Famiglia e il Movimento Italiano per la Gentilezza, da me presieduto, si dissociano dal “Festival Paladino d’Oro”.
