Agrigento vola sulle note de “Il Volo”. Il concerto natalizio nella splendida cornice della Valle dei Templi, trasmesso in prima serata su Canale 5, ha dominato gli ascolti della Vigilia di Natale, totalizzando 3.070.000 spettatori con uno share del 22,7%. Le immagini mozzafiato offerte dalle telecamere hanno fatto conoscere al grande pubblico le meraviglie della Valle dei Templi, cristallizzando il legame indissolubile tra Agrigento e il suo ruolo di Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2025.

“Il successo mediatico del concerto, che ha incantato un altro milione e 350 mila di telespettatori (con uno share del 16,9%) nella replica del giorno di Natale – sottolinea il sindaco di Agrigento, Francesco Miccichè – rappresenta un’occasione unica per promuovere le straordinarie bellezze dei nostri monumenti, unici al mondo. Questo risultato straordinario ripaga pienamente delle sterili e pretestuose polemiche che hanno accompagnato l’organizzazione dell’evento”.

“Voglio esprimere – prosegue – un profondo ringraziamento al presidente della Regione, Renato Schifani, per il suo costante impegno verso il nostro territorio. Il presidente Schifani sta dimostrando con i fatti come Agrigento sia al centro di un processo di grande crescita economica, culturale e sociale: dagli stanziamenti per Agrigento Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2025 (che grazie alla nuova legge di stabilità attualmente in discussione all’Ars si integreranno di ulteriori tre milioni di euro) allo sblocco dei lavori per la nuova rete idrica, reso possibile grazie allo stanziamento di dieci milioni di euro già operativo”.

“Agrigento – conclude il sindaco – è pronta a vivere il 2025 come un anno straordinario. Invito tutti al grande appuntamento del 18 gennaio, quando inaugureremo ufficialmente l’anno da Capitale Italiana della Cultura alla presenza del presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella. Sarà un ulteriore momento per celebrare il valore della nostra città e il suo patrimonio unico, tra arte, storia e cultura”.
