ITALIAVIVA E MAREAMICO: “LUNGOMARE DI SAN LEONE,EROSIONE COSTIERA E PISTA CICLABILE A RISCHIO, SERVE UN INTERVENTO IMMEDIATO” (video)

Agrigento – Italia Viva e Mareamico Sicilia intervengono con decisione sulla situazione del lungomare di San Leone, dove l’avanzare dell’erosione costiera sta mettendo seriamente a rischio la stabilità della pista ciclabile e dell’intera area pedonale. I coordinatori di Italia Viva, Roberta Lala (provinciale) e Alessandro Gerardi (cittadino), insieme al responsabile di Mareamico Sicilia, Claudio Lombardo, lanciano un appello urgente agli enti competenti affinché si proceda senza indugi ad un intervento immediato.

“Da troppo tempo – dichiarano Lala, Gerardi e Lombardo – assistiamo al progressivo arretramento della linea di costa nel tratto del lungomare. Le mareggiate degli ultimi mesi hanno accelerato un fenomeno già ampiamente noto, causando crolli, smottamenti e mettendo a rischio la sicurezza dei cittadini. La pista ciclabile, in particolare, è ormai in uno stato critico: ci sono tratti già ceduti ed altri pericolosamente vicini al cedimento e transennare occasionalmente non può essere la soluzione”.

I coordinatori sottolineano come il lungomare di San Leone rappresenti non solo un punto di riferimento turistico, ma anche uno spazio pubblico molto frequentato dai residenti: “Non si può aspettare che accada un incidente per riconoscere l’urgenza. Chiedi amo un piano di intervento immediato, che comprenda opere di protezione costiera, messa in sicurezza dell’area e monitoraggio costante”.

Italia Viva e Mareamico ribadiscono inoltre la necessità di una visione complessiva: “Serve una strategia chiara per contrastare l’erosione costiera, fenomeno che riguarda diverse zone del nostro territorio. Non può essere affrontato con azioni isolate o temporanee, ma con un progetto tecnico serio dell’intera unità fisiografica che va da Realmonte a Punta bianca, finanziabile e coordinato con gli enti regionali e nazionali”.

Lala, Gerardi e Lombardo concludono con un appello diretto: “La sicurezza dei cittadini e la tutela del nostro patrimonio naturalistico non possono essere rimandate. Sollecitiamo chi di competenza ad attivarsi subito: San Leone non può aspettare”.
